Senior Session Spotlight: Old Market, Omaha Public Library & Wildflowers at Pearson’s Pumpkin Place
Senior year only happens once, and it deserves to be documented in a way that feels as unique as the student being celebrated. For this Omaha senior, we created a two-part session that highlighted both her love for books and faith, as well as her natural, joyful spirit.
Part One: Old Market Vibes
We kicked off the first session in the Old Market, one of Omaha’s most iconic spots. The cobblestone streets, historic brick walls, and vibrant downtown energy made the perfect backdrop for portraits that felt both timeless and stylish. This location always offers variety, and it gave us plenty of opportunities to capture her confidence and personality against the charm of the city.
A Stop at the Omaha Public Library
During our time downtown, we made a special stop at the Omaha Public Library. Since reading is such a big part of her life, this was the perfect way to weave her love of books into her senior photos. Surrounded by shelves of stories, she looked right at home. It was a beautiful way to capture not just her interests, but also her faith and love for Jesus, which shine through in everything she does. These images felt peaceful, intentional, and so personal to her.
Part Two: Wildflowers in Bloom
A few weeks later, we met up again when the wildflowers came to life at Pearson’s Pumpkin Place. This location is always magical, but there’s something extra special about photographing among fields of flowers in full bloom. The soft light and bold colors created a whimsical, romantic feel that was the perfect contrast to the urban look of the Old Market. Here, she radiated joy—laughing, twirling, and soaking in the beauty of the Nebraska summer.
Two Sessions, One Story
What I loved most about this senior’s photos is how seamlessly the two sessions worked together to tell her story. From bold and confident in the city, to thoughtful and grounded in the library, to carefree and radiant in the wildflowers—her gallery reflects every side of who she is right now. That’s what senior photography is all about: celebrating the milestone while creating heirloom portraits that feel authentic and true.
